Week 7
Report - by James Horn
Hello again sports fans! This is your IFA Sports Reporter James Horn with the Week 7 Report from around the Internet Football Association.
We'll start off, by talking about the IFA's ONLY remaining undefeated team. The now 7-0 Buffalo Bills. They went into South Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins, and Ed McCaffrey was catching passes all over the Florida peninsula. After running around the field for 131 yards and a touchdown, the Bills stayed undefeated 24-21.
As the Vikings went into Meadowlands to face the Jets, the young guns of Minnesota decided it was their time to shine. David Carr went 20-35 for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns.
As they easily took care of the New York Jets, holding them to a measly 3 points. Winning 27-3.
The Rams continued to shine on their home field, as Ricky Williams racked up 128 yards and 2TD's on 29 carries. This team looks to be a force coming out of the NFC this season in the IFA, with a dominate offense. they beat the Seahawks 30-17.
Daunte Culpepper, and the passing attack of the Cleveland Browns continued to amaze throwing for 319 yards and 2 touchdowns. Most of
the yards this game went to young gun Randy Moss. They beat up on the Houston Texans 28-17.
In a spectacular Field Goal presentation, Jason Elam of the Packers went 5-5 against the Washington Redskins. The Packers won the game 22-11.
Rounding out the week's action, on Monday Night Football, The Indianapolis Colts went into Pittsburgh to face the Steeler's. Charlie Garner brought his running shoes, prove he was a valuable midseason pickup, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown. They beat Pittsburg 31-14.
Week 7 looked to be just as good as the rest, and we're in for some more great weeks to come! Stay tuned sports fans! This is James Horn, signing off!

Splitter
- by James Horn
The IFA Spotlight this week has to go to the Buffalo Bills. The ONLY undefeated team left in the Internet Football Association. In this week's Spotlight, we'll take a look into how the Bills are running over opponents.
When you talk about this Bills team, you have to start with their unquestionable leader, veteran Quarterback, and former #1 pick Drew Bledsoe. Bledsoe is among the league leaders in completions(124) and yards(1415) and has thrown for 10 touchdowns this year.
His best threat appears to be veteran Ed McCaffery. But when defenses focus to much on Ed, young stud Steve Smith takes over the slack. Veteran Stephen Davis' power rushing game provides a viscious 1-2 punch for the Buffalo offense, providing them with a way to get out ahead of opponents early.
On to the Buffalo defense. Corey Simon leads the Buffalo defense, with 3 sacks, and 3 tackles for loss. With newcomer Lethon Flowers playing great at safety, and Chad Scott and Michael Barrow rounding out a great defense this is a team I wouldn't watch to face.
In the next few weeks, we will watch Buffalo closely, as teams gun to take them off their high horse. But as you can see, this won't be an easy task. Stay tuned!

Three-Way
Trade - by James Horn
For this week's "On The Go", the deal that fell through the cracks between the San Francisco 49ers and the Green Bay Packers.
The Packers were in the market for a fresh new quarterback to take the place of Mark Brunell.

And were willing to part ways with young stud LaDanian Tomilson. They looked to San Francisco, and young QB Donovan McNabb.
The two teams worked out a deal involving the two players. The deal would send Qb Donovan McNabb, Rb Michael Bennett, Fb Jameel Cook, Le Aaron Smith, ROLB Eric Barton and 49ers 1st round pick in 2003 to Green Bay.
The 49ers would receive Qb Mark Brunell,Rb Ladanian Tomlinson, Fb Mike Alstott, Re Charles Grant, ROLB Tim Terry.
When all players involved finally got healthy, management got on the phone, to put the deal through. However, an unexpected hitch came. San Francisco had backed out, saying Donovan McNabb was far too valuable to trade. The deal had fallen through. The two teams hung up, and no deal was made.

Bills at
Lions
|
|
Game of the week for week 8 should be very interesting, as the Bills try to continue their quest towards an undefeated season, while the Lions do everything in their power to hold onto first place in their division.
The Lions, who entered this league one of the most underrated teams, have really shown potential so far this year. Even so, they are the definate underdogs, and will have to play their best football game of the year if they want to go into Week 9 at 5-2. They will need to continue to set up the pass with the run, handing the ball off to Stewart as much as possible.
The Bills however, need not take this game lightly. It would be very easy for them to overlook the Lions, in preparation for the Patriots in Week 9. If this happens, and not everyone is focused on the game, the Bills could get themselves in a lot of trouble. They need everyone to be on the top of their game, as now everyone is gunning to stop this amazing season.
